A full-size gimbal radio hung from a single central hook tips forward, and that nose-dive is the problem a transmitter strap has to solve. Strap width is the comfort variable, and a wide padded section spreads the weight of a radio carrying a screen and a big battery far better than a narrow woven band. Adjustment range should let you set the radio where your thumbs sit naturally, so look for a long slide with a positive cam lock rather than a friction buckle that creeps.
